Shrouded in intrigue since day one, Maison Margiela was founded by a Belgian designer who has kept his identity completely secret for more than 30 years. Combining luxurious silks and cottons with materials like scotch tape, vintage gloves, wire, and army surplus socks, Maison Margiela is responsible for some of the most provocative and joyful garments in fashion history.
