Marimekko x Sorry Thanks I Love You

 

In April 2024 we partnered with Finnish design house Marimekko on a special immersive project to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Marimekko’s most iconic print: ‘Unikko.’

Our newly opened store and café in Westfield Sydney was transformed into a field of pink and green flowers showcasing Marimekko’s limited edition SS’24 anniversary collection – featuring a selection of apparel, textiles and ceramics. 

Many months in the making, the STILY x Marimekko project was one in a series of international events that Marimekko is launching to celebrate this milestone anniversary around the globe.

  

 

For the duration of the event, a specially curated Finnish brunch menu was available at our newly opened café space, offering up a smorgasbord of dark rye open sandwiches, traditional cinnamon buns by Scandinavian artisan bakers Fika, custom made gingerbread cookies printed with giant Unikko flowers, and even a Scandi Candi Iced Chocolate celebrating the enviable Finnish tradition of karkkipäivä – “candy day.”

The Marimekko and STILY collaboration was the opening project in our adventurous event program which will see us partner with the likes of Dover Street Market Paris and the UNSW’s Design Lab in the first half of 2024 – among others.
