The Sorry Thanks I Love You Cafe
Described as "a sleek oasis" at Westfield Sydney, our cafe is housed within a 300 square metre sculptural timber space alongside high-end fashion and design from Issey Miyake, Comme Des Garçons and Maison Margiela at Westfield Sydney.
Our first ever hospitality concept has been conceived along the same curatorial principles applied to the rest of its range: with a focus on excellence and simplicity.
Serving up specialty coffee from Single O, handmade pastries from Tuga, superfood-infused chocolates from Byron Bay's Loco Love and a selection of artisanal sodas and waters, our café also accommodates a library of rare and vintage fashion, art and architecture titles, small-run magazines from independent global publishers, and games by local artists Ken Done and Kim Siew Gogan.
In our signature spirit of experimenting with space and exploring what a ‘retail’ setting can be, the sleek, 30 metre-long crescent of communal, tiered seating in the café has been specifically designed to also accommodate a mashed up event program including natural wine tastings with P&V Wine + Liquor, coffee cuppings with Single O, and cheese tastings with Bruny Island Cheese’s Nick Haddow, all against a soundscape powered by French luxury audio specialists Devialet.
We’re constantly rethinking and reinventing our hospitality space every day that we’re open... and in 2022 we used our cafe as a fundraising platform. Every Friday morning from October until December we offered $1 coffee until 11am, and donated 100% of the proceeds to integrated cancer hospital Chris O'Brien Lifehouse.
We called this project "Fridays Are Gold" and will be reinvigorating it in February 2023. In the meantime you can read more about it here.
