Step inside our installation with Brett Westfall from Dover Street Market Paris

 

This July, Dover Street Market Paris Brand Development has arrived in Australia with a four-week installation at Sorry Thanks I Love You.

 

 In an Australian debut, the large-scale installation is designed by longtime collaborator of Comme des Garçons & member of the Dover Street Market Paris umbrella: artist & designer Brett Westfall.

 

 

Made entirely from found objects, the artwork explores themes of freedom and shelter, and incorporates Westfall’s signature FRESH strawberry motif.

 

 

For the duration of the installation, our café will serve a limited-edition menu in collaboration with Tokyo Lamington, Shadow Baking and Gelato Messina. Sample a custom-made lamington with fresh strawberries, a strawberries compote and vanilla cheesecake filled brioche, house-made strawberry-infused beverages and much more.

 

 

Alongside Westfall’s latest collection, a limited-edition Westfall x STILY t-shirt will be available exclusively in-store at Sorry Thanks I Love You.

  

 

 

Westfall utilizes his personal experiences as a human being, with nature, our environment, society as a whole and the growth that happens as a result of our relationships to all these elements for most of the inspiration for his work.

 

 

  

Alongside Dover Street Market Paris, we invite you to step inside this world of Californian roadside strawberry stands, nostalgic bike rides and clothes that feel like a trip.

 

 

 

Shown exclusively at Sorry Thanks I Love You from 1st to 31st July, our beautifully odd installation is an immersive journey that has to be experienced first-hand. Visit our café, open 8:30am on weekdays, and 11am on weekends. Our store is open from 11-6pm daily.
