Debate rages over the appropriate way to serve sparkling wines of all origins, but in reality the rules are simple: keep it cold, keep it fizzy and, if you must, share it. With a small bubble-catching indentation on its base, Malfatti’s slender, delicate prosecco glasses nail it on all fronts and are mouth blown in New York from durable, soirée-friendly borosilicate glass – the same material used to make laboratory ware. Intentionally misshapen like the company’s namesake and astonishingly lightweight, these stemless flutes accommodate juice and granita with equal ceremony and are the best way to toast an anniversary. The 'Perlina' range is embellished with small glass pearls in a pattern entirely unique to each individual glass.

Malfatti
New York-based master glassblowers Daniel Spitzer and Jill Reynolds are award-wining artists who primarily work in the realm of large scale installations, sculpture, and chandeliers. Between them, they’ve worked on the lobby at the Bellagio, been featured in the Museum of Arts and Design in New York, the Seattle Art Museum and the Microsoft Corporation’s collections, and have won fellowships and residencies everywhere from Pittsburgh Glass Center to Harvard. Malfatti, which translates as misshapen, is their side project.
