Inspired by Adidas’ inimitable sporting legacy, Chapter 3’s apparel collection sees Y-3 evolve the collegiate motifs of previous seasons, for an entirely new context. Drawing on vintage varsity-style lettering, an array of printed and embroidered graphics is applied to each piece.
Two things are at play with the Y-3 Quilted Skirt — a utilitarian aesthetic and a representation of speed. A design inspired by the Adidas Originals Aloxe track suit is subtly integrated into the quilted build. The insulated silhouette plays with shape, which can be adjusted with the integrated tie cord to change the A-line style into an asymmetrical look.
