Gourmet Traveller x STILY 2017

The Gourmet Traveller x Sorry Thanks I Love You Christmas Boutique is open!

On Monday we launched our latest collaboration with Gourmet Traveller, and opened the doors to the second ever GTxSTILY Christmas Boutique.

Featuring the country’s best pantry produce, spirits and Christmas treats plus a range of specialist kitchen accessories, the range has been curated by the Gourmet Traveller team with help from their award-winning chefs and sommeliers, and is now available to test, taste and try at both Sorry Thanks I Love You stores in Sydney.

Up until Christmas Eve, everything from spiced gingerbread, panforte, single-source coffee and mince pies, to marmalades, natural wines and panettone will be available.

The likes of Danielle Alvarez (Fred’s), Josh Niland (Saint Peter), Jock Zonfrillo (Orana), Nick Smith (Bar Rochford) and Caitlin Rees (Fred’s) have all nominated the kitchen and bartending products they can’t live without, and each one is as intriguing as it is beautiful.

For the serious gourmand, there’s the gochu-jang favoured by Peter Gilmore and Kylie Kwong, Danielle Alvrez’s go-to olive oil, and Frank Fawk’s secret-recipe black garlic paste, plus cookbooks, hand-forged knives, one-of-a-kind ceramics, and professional bar and glassware.

The entire range is available to shop online at www.sorrythanksiloveyou.com/gourmettraveller

The collaboration also includes a special inclusion from Sydney-based artist Allie Webb, who created an artwork, Il Caffe 2017, especially for this project. Everyone who purchases an Il Caffe greeting card in store automatically goes in the running to win the original artwork, with all proceeds from card sales going directly to the psych-oncology unit at integrated cancer hospital Chris O’Brien Lifehouse.

The GTxSTILY project was launched with a special opening party at Sorry Thanks I Love You in The Rocks, and the chefs, media and VIPs in attendance were treated to a whole Christmas ham, hot-smoked beef brisket, juniper-spiced pork terrine and more from Haverick Meats, Oiseau et Renard wines courtesy of DRNKS, killer cocktails from PS40, cold beer from Young Henrys, extraordinary eclairs from Newcastle's Choux Patisserie and custom brigadeiros from Sydney’s Sweet Stone. Special thanks must also go to Riedel, Santa Vittoria and Brickfields bakery for their support.

A full calendar of tastings, workshops and events taking place in store will be announced in the coming days. If you’re going to be in Sydney before Christmas, please join us in store for a glass of wine, shortbread tasting, or to scoop some fresh honeycomb out of the jar with us.
