Duro
Named after the Italian word for ‘hard’, Gualtieri created Duro to “enhance the manifestations of male strength”, and it certainly delivers. It’s a dry woody scent with an undercurrent of leather and animalic musk, and is the perfect thing to put on when you want to smell both vigorous and dependable.
Nasomatto
Italian for ‘The Mad Nose’, Nasomatto is the project of seasoned perfumer Alessandro Gualtieri. Having cut his teeth creating designer perfumes for houses such as Fendi, Versace and Helmut Lang, Gualtieri dissented in order to realise the heretical scents of his fervent imagination. The formula of the fragrances in the Nasomatto line are kept secret but are believed to be inspired by ancient Middle Eastern perfumery. Each scent is designed as a conceptual offering, intended to create a unique feeling in the wearer. Gualtieri describes the motto of the line as “No Limits” - what happens if you take a sensation and distil it to its most absolute essence?
