An ode to the beauty of fragility – this fragrance’s white ceramic lid is the only one in the collection that will break if dropped. Delicate rose, powdery musk and incense here evoke a sense of ephemerality. This fragrance was created by Gualtieri as a consolation in a difficult time and has since been discontinued.
Nasomatto
Italian for ‘The Mad Nose’, Nasomatto is the project of seasoned perfumer Alessandro Gualtieri. Having cut his teeth creating designer perfumes for houses such as Fendi, Versace and Helmut Lang, Gualtieri dissented in order to realise the heretical scents of his fervent imagination. The formula of the fragrances in the Nasomatto line are kept secret but are believed to be inspired by ancient Middle Eastern perfumery. Each scent is designed as a conceptual offering, intended to create a unique feeling in the wearer. Gualtieri describes the motto of the line as “No Limits” - what happens if you take a sensation and distil it to its most absolute essence?
