For this collection, the friends and muses of Marni were each asked to reflect on what they considered to be a ‘classic’ garment. The myriad of different responses showed that fashion is deeply personal and sentimental, an idea that Risso sought to evoke in the delicately handcrafted nature of each piece. The pieces that were sent down the runway were distressed, crumpled, and handstitched together as if they were lovingly mended hundreds of times. This chic red tweed mini skirt is discreetly lined with a hand-painted floral print - designed to be a secret source of joy for the wearer.
