Simply British
Despite an unmistakable English upper lip, this oversized bomber has been rocked at some of the noisiest and muddiest music festivals in the UK by some of the music world’s biggest acts. Lavenham started out as all the best British fashion labels do: in pursuit of a better quality horse blanket.
Lavenham
Founded by keen equestrian and innovator Mrs Elliot of Suffolk in 1969, Lavenham initially specialised in sartorial garments for the stables, manufacturing svelte quilted horse blankets with corduroy collars and press studs. The transition from stables to street has been smooth, and the incredible quality of Lavenham’s jackets has led to collaborations with likes of Kenzo, APC and Fred Perry.
