COMME des GARÇONS HOMME PLUS SS26 is less certain, which makes it far more interesting.
Rei Kawakubo keeps the language of tailoring visible, then quietly unsettles everything around it. Jackets are pulled apart. Proportions swell. Zips interrupt the body. Ruffles and kilts appear where menswear usually prefers discipline.
It still looks like tailoring.
Until it doesn’t.
There is something almost ceremonial about the collection. These are not suits for the office. They feel more like uniforms for another kind of gathering — softer, stranger, more instinctive. Clothes that carry the memory of tradition, without agreeing to behave.
That is the point.
The suit remains. The rules do not.
