Narcotic V

Named after the Roman goddess of love, Narcotic V is a homage to “the overwhelming addictive intensity of female sexual power”, though Gualtieri’s muse is rendered surprisingly delicate and airy. The scent is a very pure composition of tuberose and gardenia. Perhaps the fragrance’s carnality is a result of its perceived innocence. When dried, the white florals give way to a subtle hint of creamy spice.

Nasomatto

Italian for ‘The Mad Nose’, Nasomatto is the project of seasoned perfumer Alessandro Gualtieri. Having cut his teeth creating designer perfumes for houses such as Fendi, Versace and Helmut Lang, Gualtieri dissented in order to realise the heretical scents of his fervent imagination. The formula of the fragrances in the Nasomatto line are kept secret but are believed to be inspired by ancient Middle Eastern perfumery. Each scent is designed as a conceptual offering, intended to create a unique feeling in the wearer. Gualtieri describes the motto of the line as “No Limits” - what happens if you take a sensation and distil it to its most absolute essence?
