Launched in 2002, Comme Des Garçons collaborated with graphic artist Filip Pagowski to create the now iconic heart, an image that sought to serve as ‘A sign, a symbol, a feeling’. The PLAY project takes a minimalist approach to creating high-quality wardrobe staples, and over the years has spearheaded some of the most influential collaborations in the fashion industry – from Space Invaders and Matt Groening to Nike and Converse.
