FFWD Festival: Opening Night Charity Auction
On August 1st, FFWD Festival begins with an opening night Cocktail Party, fully catered by none other than Maurice Terzini’s Icebergs Dining Room and Bar, headlined by a pounding DJ set by Julian Hamilton (The Presets) and a live performance from psychedelic rock band Velvet Trip, all topped off with complimentary wines and cocktails from P&V Wine & Liquor Merchants and Archie Rose.
Between sets, we’re hosting a champagne fuelled auction of archive Comme Des Garçons pieces, live from the runway.
Since 1969, Rei Kawakubo’s anti-fashion label Comme Des Garçons has been the highlight of Fashion Week, with its subversive sculptural shapes, art-as-fashion mentality, and rebellious design ethic.
Attendees will have the opportunity to vie for one-of-a-kind pieces from the legendary Japanese designer, with proceeds going to integrated cancer hospital, Chris O’Brien Lifehouse.
