Black Afgano 

Designed to evoke the scent of hashish, and described as “a quest to arouse the effects of temporary bliss” – Nasomatto’s best-selling fragrance is an addictive, smoky bittersweet concoction. The bitter, green opening gives way to a woody, tobacco middle and dries down to become sweet and resinous.  

Nasomatto

Italian for ‘The Mad Nose’, Nasomatto is the project of seasoned perfumer Alessandro Gualtieri. Having cut his teeth creating designer perfumes for houses such as Fendi, Versace and Helmut Lang, Gualtieri dissented in order to realise the heretical scents of his fervent imagination. The formula of the fragrances in the Nasomatto line are kept secret but are believed to be inspired by ancient Middle Eastern perfumery. Each scent is designed as a conceptual offering, intended to create a unique feeling in the wearer. Gualtieri describes the motto of the line as “No Limits” - what happens if you take a sensation and distil it to its most absolute essence?
