Because their stills are only in operation for one month every year, White Oak only produce miniscule amounts of whisky – the majority of which are blended. Occasionally however single malts are made available in extremely limited quantities - and you're looking at one right now. This creamy, gingery single malt is distilled just west of Kobe and is aged in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. From one of Japan’s oldest working distilleries, this is a smooth, smoky that’s been described as ‘provoking’, ‘encouraging’ and, best of all, like ‘honey and treacle on crumpets’.
