Nose to tail
A deer’s antler is its fingerprint, but its shape and size changes every year depending on the season’s rainfall, the nature of its pasture and the quality of its herd. Every spring, deer shed their crowns - pieces of antler cast off amongst their environs like memories. These bottle openers have been hand forged from carbon steel and set in small pieces of the aforementioned naturally shed red deer antler found on the Hansen family’s top grade venison farm in Orange. Each one, obviously, is completely unique but they have one thing in common: they’re so good-looking they’ll make your beer bottle blush.
Using the naturally shed velvet antler and hides from her brother’s sustainable red deer farm near Orange, Penny Hansen has partnered with some of the country’s best artisans to create bespoke accessories that elegantly celebrate the silent grace of the herd.
