Japanese designer Issey Miyake has an infamous preoccupation with geometry and technology. Now 77, Issey Miyake is hailed by artists, designers and fashion houses as one of the most influential creatives of the century, and is perhaps most famous for his eponymous boutique perfume line and lightweight, un-creasable clothing line, ‘Pleats Please’. He’s also the man behind Steve Jobs’ black turtlenecks, the Lithuanian Olympic uniform in 1992, and most recently, the founder of his own design museum in Tokyo.
