The Gourmet Traveller x Sorry Thanks I Love You Boutique Is Open

This Christmas, we've collaborated with Australia’s most famous food and lifestyle magazine, Australian Gourmet Traveller.

Featuring a selection of GT’s favourite smallgoods and food- and travel-related gifts, the Gourmet Traveller x Sorry Thanks I Love You Christmas Boutique is now open and will run until 18 December 2016.

This week, Gourmet Traveller’s chief curator, Maggie Scardifield, shares her picks for housemates, kris kringle victims, and the brother's-girlfriend-you-haven't-met-yet… among other more esoteric Christmas gift recipients.

Maggie’s picks from the GT x STILY Christmas Boutique

Best Kris Kringle present:

A Good Food Crap Drawing card and a tin of Continental Deli salted caramel.

Present for the brother-in-law:

A set of Mukumono sake cups and one of their Katakuchi pourers.

Best present to send overseas:

A market bag from Sydney label Worktones. It'll fold down nice and flat, is relatively light and will look a treat cutting round Borough or the Bastille.

Housemate present:

A Kokedama plant from Sophia Kaplan and a set of Malfatti prosecco glasses (presents for the two of us, really).

Present for your brother’s girlfriend that you haven’t met yet:

David Thompson’s Koh Loy Hot Sauce (for her bag, obviously).

Present you’ll be dropping hints about for yourself:

The Williams Pear Eau de Vie from southern Germany via Spirit People.  A Hayden Youlley salad bowl. A mortar and pestle from GT's new range. Shall I go on?

Present for your weirdest uncle:

I reckon he'd love an Adriana Picker colouring-in book or a Rita Mu Mountain Range mug.

Present you’ve shot-gunned for your Mum:

She's always on the move, so definitely an Aneau travel quilt. I've got a full-sized Aquila quilt on my bed, and even after just a few weeks it feels like it's been mine for a lifetime.

“Thank you for having me for Christmas lunch” present:

A toss-up between Scott Pickett’s beetroot relish from Pickett’s Deli in Melbourne and a box of Sweet Stone brigadeiros
