Our New Apparel Collection

Our New Apparel Collection

Three days ago we launched our most ambitious project yet: a full scale apparel range in a brand new store at No 5 Martin Place, Sydney.

We spent the past 18 months curating a unique, one-of-a-kind apparel range that's high quality and heavy on flair, and took our signature approach to sourcing: only partnering with original designers whose attention to detail borders on the obsessive.

We've partnered with a mix of well-established and underground one-man labels from Tokyo to Berlin, many of which are making their Australian debut, and have launched the collection in a marble-clad 350 square metre space in one of the Sydney's oldest and most beautiful buildings.

While the collection is available online, the new store is open every day and has been designed to let our visitors experience the collection in earnest and from every angle. There are reversible jackets and party dresses direct from the runway by cult Japanese designer Tsumori Chisato, quilted vests from an English horse blanket manufacturer-turned-fashion label, reflective hoodies handmade in Berlin, avocado and indigo dyed shirting from Margate, neon loungewear inspired by German construction uniforms, and classic Japanese silhouettes hand cut in one of the tiniest boutiques in Shimokitazawa.

The collection marks the Australian debut of Yohji Yamamoto's protégé Teppei Fujita under his new label Sulvam. As Vogue put it: "despite the lofty expectations, [Sulvam's] collection justified the hype."

Contemporary and classic daywear from the likes of French collaborators Commune de Paris, Maison Labiche, and local talents Bassike and Matin Studio complement these made-to-order pieces, and new work will be arriving in store and online every fortnight.

Sorry Thanks I Love You has become known for a focus on high quality, unique, handmade and hard-to-source design, accessories, food and beverages, and the same approach has been taken to this new collection.

Our original store - just opposite at No 1 Martin Place - will retain its design, food and beverage focus, with seasonal work from Dinosaur Designs, Lucy Folk, and one of France's most iconic fragrance brands scheduled to land later this month.

Visit us in store at No 5 Martin Place any day from 10am, or check out the collection online.
