Siirtolapuutarha Platter– Marimekko

Siirtolapuutarha Platter– Marimekko

Avoid pointless rushing
All swirling lines and simple garden motifs, it’s no surprise that Marimekko’s famous Siirtolapuutarha pattern was created by a designer whose fashion icon is Pippi Longstockings. This wide, vitreous porcelain plate is made in Helsinki and features just a whisper of colour. When designer Maija was asked what best describes her design philosophy she answered: “Avoid pointless rushing.”
