Democratic Pricing

What is Democratic Pricing?

Our procurement isn’t perfect, but our mission is to act as a launchpad for the most creative and meticulous work in the world. Rather than labelling work as ‘last season' and stipulating huge discounts on unique creations based on abstract calendar rules, instead we’ve created a system called Democratic Pricing - where we invite you to choose from three discounts on a selection of items in our range.  Every piece is new and untouched. For more information about Democratic Pricing, click here.

Coffee Up

Gun to his head, this is ceramicist Ian Anderson’s favourite of his pieces.  In a carefully considered neutral palette, Anderson’s abstract mugs are a trompe-l’oiel in hardworking porcelain.  Conceived over several years in Philadelphia, the mugs have been designed so that the handle is perceived independently of the vessel itself, requiring a hefty dose of non-traditional production methods and extra handwork.

Aandersson

Philadelphia-based ceramicist Ian Anderson started Aandersson by challenging traditional craft-oriented forms and ended up turning them on their head.  His secret vice is Seinfield re-and he hates the term minimalist. “I want to make the user think about what they are using instead of making the item so nondescript that the user isn't thinking about it.”
